It is believed that the Sixers are offering restricted free agent Kenny Thomas a seven-year contract worth at least $40 million.
The Sixers want to keep Thomas and continue to add size. Derrick Coleman, Brian Skinner and Tyrone Hill are all free agents, and the team wants to re-sign Coleman and Skinner. The Sixers also brought in Andrew DeClercq for a workout yesterday.

Kenny Thomas remains out with a right corneal abrasion and inflammation in his left iris.
Coach Jim O’Brien said Thomas was “doubtful” for the opener but “probable” for Friday night’s home opener against Phoenix. Andre Iguodala could see a lot of minutes in the first week.

Kenny Thomas (eye) returned to practice yesterday, and said he would be ready to start in tonight’s opener.
Coach Jim O’Brien said that Thomas “looked good” and that there was “no question” he would start. He should be in your lineup.

Kenny Thomas, who missed Tuesday’s game with flulike symptoms, has been diagnosed with pleurisy, an oft-painful inflammation of the lining of the lungs, which builds up fluid and sometimes spreads pain to the shoulder area.
Sounds to us like Corliss Williamson and Josh Davis will have to take the power forward minutes tonight.

Coach Jim O’Brien indicated that he would continue to start slumping Kenny Thomas at power forward and have Corliss Williamson come off the bench.
Williamson has a history of thriving in a reserve role, but if Thomas continues to average just five points and six rebounds, as he has over his last four games, the Sixers will need to consider a change. Not a good year for Thomases. Kenny, Kurt, and Tim are all involved in positional wars.

Coach Jim O’Brien said he is confident that Kenny Thomas will bounce back from being benched.
“It is absolutely a setback for him, but I believe in his character, and he’ll work his way back into earning valuable minutes,” O’Brien said yesterday. Thomas is currently third on the depth chart behind Josh Davis and Corliss Williamson. O’Brien is really trying to send a message here.

Kenny Thomas underwent an MRI exam on his bruised right hip yesterday.
An evaluation of his condition won’t be made until today.

Kenny Thomas missed his second straight game last night, and the diagnosis of his foot injury got worse.
The Sixers are not sure how long Thomas will be out, but coach Larry Brown said Thomas will not play today or Sunday. His foot and leg were placed in a cast yesterday.

An MRI performed on Kenny Thomas showed yesterday that there was nothing seriously wrong with what the team has called a bruised right flank.
    Thomas should be considered day-to-day.

An MRI on Kenny Thomas’ back taken yesterday was negative, but he is listed as doubtful for tonight’s game.
Thomas left Friday’s game with a lower back injury and did not practice yesterday.
