Lamar Patterson is hoping to showcase his playmaking ability with the Kings.
“That’s pretty much been my game,” Patterson said. “I’ve always been the biggest player on my team growing up, but the most skilled, so I used to run the point-center position. … It was just natural for me to handle the ball and passing the ball; I pride myself on that.” The Kings claimed him off waivers in July, but it’s unclear if he will even be in the rotation. His outlook will improve if the Kings move Ben McLemore, but fantasy owners shouldn’t worry about him for now. We also learned that Patterson has a pet alligator named Pharoah, so welcome to NBA news in late August.

The Kings have claimed Lamar Patterson off waivers.
Patterson spent a majority of his rookie campaign riding the bus to D-League games, but his fantasy value won’t improve much in Sacramento, as he’ll be competing for minutes with the likes of Arron Afflalo, Ben McLemore, Garrett Temple and Malachi Richardson.

The Hawks have waived G Lamar Patterson.
Patterson appeared in just 35 games for the Hawks during his rookie year, but he spent most of his time in the D-League. The 48th overall pick of the 2014 draft could get a camp invite, but he’ll be a non-factor in fantasy hoops.

    Kings waive G Lamar Patterson.
The Kings were talking him up after they claimed him off waivers, but he couldn’t crack the roster. Patterson had a couple blips on the fantasy radar and even closed out some games last year. He has a good chance to catch on with another team.

Lamar Patterson will re-sign with the Kings.
The Kings waived him a few days ago, so maybe they had a change of heart. He’s still not expected to make the final 15-man roster.

Lamar Patterson has officially signed a 10-day deal with the Hawks.
We’d be surprised if he played more than a handful of minutes even with Thabo Sefolosha (groin) out. Patterson has been lighting it up in the D-League, but he’s off the fantasy radar.

Lamar Patterson’s second 10-day contract with the Hawks has expired, so he’s headed back to the D-League.
Patterson wasn’t able to snag a rest of season deal with the Hawks, so now he’ll try and find another 10-day contract with another team. He belongs on the waiver wire in all formats.

The Hawks have interest in signing Lamar Patterson to a 10-day deal.
It makes a lot of sense after coach Mike Budenholzer gave Patterson some clutch minutes in two different games last year. Patterson has been lighting up the D-League with a 41-point explosion this week, so the Hawks may give him a whirl to check out his growth as a scorer. If so, Gary Neal would likely not be brought back.

The Hawks are signing Lamar Patterson for the rest of the season.
Patterson’s second 10-day contract expired but the Hawks opted to keep him around, and it doesn’t sound like they’ll be pursuing any players that get bought out in the near future. Patterson is nowhere near having fantasy value.

Lamar Patterson made his season debut against the Heat on Wednesday with four points, four rebounds and two turnovers in 12 minutes.
Garbage time was a factor for Patterson, who is on a 10-day deal with the Hawks. He’s not a lock to get minutes on Thursday.
