The Wizards waived Lavoy Allen, Chris Chiozza, Tiwian Kendley.
Allen was signed to play in China last season but never played. He landed in the G-League, where he was only alright. Allen isn’t on the fantasy radar.
  • WAS Power Forward #24
Lavoy Allen has signed a training camp deal with the Wizards.
Allen has been working out in D.C. over the past few weeks, and apparently, he impressed management enough to earn a camp invite. He’ll be competing for the final regular-season roster spot at camp, but even if he makes the team, he’ll be irrelevant in fantasy hoops.
  • Center #00
Spencer Hawes was very quiet off the Sixers’ bench in Saturday’s Game 1 loss, posting five points, four rebounds and two assists in 15 minutes.
Hawes isn’t imposing himself on the game like he was early this season, and the center position is a clear weakness for Philly. Starting center Lavoy Allen had four points and six rebounds in 20 minutes, while veteran Tony Battie racked up a DNP-CD.
  • WAS Power Forward #24
Lavoy Allen sprained his thumb during Game 1, but X-rays were negative and he’s expected to play on Tuesday.
Allen had four points and six boards in 20 minutes on Saturday, and we can’t reasonably expect much more from the rookie, who is being thrown directly into the fire.
  • WAS Power Forward #24
Lavoy Allen (thumb, probable) is expected to start at center once again in Tuesday’s Game 2.
Coach Doug Collins likes the way Allen matches up with the motor of Joakim Noah. That means Spencer Hawes will continue to come off the bench, a disappointing turn of events as he enters unrestricted free agency. Allen had four points and six boards in 19 minutes of Game 1 action while Hawes had five points and four rebounds in 15 minutes.
  • CHI Center #9
Nikola Vucevic played just 15 minutes on Friday, scoring four points on 2-of-7 shooting with three rebounds, one assist, and one block.
Vucevic is taking a step forward and then a step or two back right now, and should simply be monitored to see if he can ever put things together. He’ll have to improve his defensive game to take over Lavoy Allen’s minutes.
  • GSW Small Forward #9
Andre Iguodala scored 12 points on 5-of-12 shooting (including a three) with 11 rebounds, six assists, and a steal in the Sixers’ easy 105-83 win against the Warriors on Friday.
Iguodala has been providing late early-round value over the last three weeks and if he has issues with his knee, we’re not seeing any indications of them right now. Jrue Holiday scored 13 points with three triples and four assists, and Lavoy Allen even got into the act with 10 points, seven boards, and a block against the Warriors’ notably deficient interior.
  • WAS Power Forward #24
Lavoy Allen started for the Sixers on Wednesday and had four points, 12 boards, a steal and block in the win.
He should see another start on Thursday at Detroit, so give him a look if you need a big man.
  • WAS Power Forward #24
Lavoy Allen and Evan Turner will start for the Sixers on Wednesday.
Allen starts in place of Elton Brand (rest) and Turner will start in place of Andre Iguodala (rest). Allen is averaging 4.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 0.7 steals in three starts at power forward this season, while Turner is averaging 11.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks over two games at small forward.
  • PHI General Manager #42
Elton Brand played only 15 minutes for Philadelphia on Saturday, scoring four points with one rebound and two blocks.
EB isn’t injured but the Celtics may have forced Doug Collins’ hand by deploying small lineups -- Paul Pierce even played PF for significant stretches. Lavoy Allen even played 20 minutes tonight, but Brand averaged 32 minutes per game vs. the Bulls and we imagine he’ll get more burn as this series continues.
