Clippers trade guards Lionel Chalmers and Marko Jaric to the Timberwolves in exchange for Sam Cassell and a future draft pick.
Chalmers won’t have fantasy value this year regardless of where he’s playing.

Dwyane Wade, who is suspended for Friday’s game against Detroit, denies that he intentionally kicked Ramon Sessions in the groin.
The Heat also defended Wade, calling him “the type of player, along with other players on our roster, that defenses take privileges with.” For what it’s worth, we certainly thought the kick looked deliberate and in the end, a one-game ban isn’t that big of a deal. Look for Shane Battier to have a bigger role with Wade out against the Pistons. Mario Chalmers could also see a one-game boost.

LeBron James (hamstring), Dwyane Wade (ankle) and Mario Chalmers (ankle) will not play against the Knicks on Tuesday.
We warned you about the Heat resting their big guns, and that’s exactly what will happen once again on Tuesday with LeBron and Wade both sitting out. The Heat will rely on Chris Bosh to carry the load, and the team will start Norris Cole, Mike Miller, Udonis Haslem, Rashard Lewis and Bosh against New York.

Lionel Chalmers got 43 minutes of playing time tonight in the absence of Corey Maggette, Marko Jaric and the loss of Quinton Ross to a hip injury. He finished with eight points and six assists on the night.
He has no fantasy value, but he played well tonight, despite hitting just 3-of-12 of his shots.

He could eventually sign a 10-day contract for a team in need of a point guard.
  • UTA Small Forward #92
The NBA has decided not to suspend any players from Dallas or Miami as a result of the Game 6 altercation.
The game briefly stopped when DeShawn Stevenson, Udonis Haslem and Mario Chalmers got into a brief scuffle at mid-court, but apparently the league didn’t see anything to warrant any suspensions.
