Head

Head was waived by the Kings toward the end of March. As a fringe NBA player, he should fare much better overseas.

Head is another veteran looking for a comeback to the NBA and will attempt to use the D-League as a springboard to do so.

Head will return to the open market but has no realistic chance of returning to the NBA at this time.

Head was reportedly pursued by a handful of teams from China, but “after consulting his close friend [Pistons guard] Will Bynum” he turned down offers worth as much as $500,000 to play in Israel for less money.

Head, a six-year NBA veteran, signed with a team in China during the lockout but had the deal nullified due to injury. There’s no evidence that he’s drawing interest in the NBA, so don’t be surprised if he accepts a deal overseas, whether in Jerusalem or elsewhere.

Head has six years of NBA experience, but he last played for the Kings in 2010-11 and spent last season with two D-League teams. His days of fantasy relevance are in the rear-view mirror.

This will be especially true if Bob Sura’s knee doesn’t heal properly from surgery. The Rockets have been very pleased with Head’s play thus far, and is fitting in nicely with the team.

He’s outplaying Rafer Alston right now, but the rookie doesn’t have much fantasy value yet.

Rafer Alston did not hit a field goal in his 22 minutes of action. Head will continue to backup Skip to my Lou.

Wow. He also hit 5-of-8 threes, 5-of-5 free throws and had three steals, seven boards and three assists. It’s possible he’ll have value as long as Tracy McGrady is out, but it’s a long shot.
