According to HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto, the Heat have signed Malik Williams to an Exhibit 10 contract.
After playing his first professional season overseas, Williams played the majority of the 2023-24 campaign with Miami’s G League affiliate in Sioux Falls. The exception was two 10-day contracts with the Raptors to end the season, with Williams making seven appearances. He accounted for 2.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 0.6 blocks in 15.3 minutes in those outings. Williams’ signing will not impact fantasy basketball; look for him to land with Sioux Falls ultimately.
  • Malik Williams shot 0-of-7 from the field in Wednesday’s 133-85 loss to the Timberwolves, going scoreless with five rebounds, one assist, one steal, and two blocked shots in 31 minutes.
With Kelly Olynyk among the many Raptors sidelined on Wednesday, Williams made his first NBA start in Minneapolis. And this wasn’t an easy matchup by any stretch of the imagination, as the rookie had to deal with Rudy Gobert and Naz Reid. Williams went scoreless, with the rebounds, steals, and blocks being the only areas where he provided tangible value. Even if Olynyk remains sidelined, there will be better streaming options than Williams on your league’s waiver wire.
