N’Diaye’s second 10-day contract is expiring.

Just a week ago the team declined to make this move when N’Diaye’s second 10-day contract was expiring. Now that Joel Przybilla is gone for the season, however, they had a need for someone to back up Jason Collier at center.

Mamadou N’diaye’s second 10-day contract expires Monday. Signing him for the remainder of the season is a remote possibility, but it’s expected the team will let him go and attempt to bring in someone from a list that includes: Jake Tsakalidis (Memphis), Joel Przybilla (Milwaukee), Primoz Brezec (Indiana), Loren Woods (Miami), Michael Doleac (New York), Scott Williams (Phoenix) and Brendan Haywood (Washington).

N’Diaye played in just three of the Clippers’ 15 games while on the active roster and had two points and three rebounds in nine minutes.

N’Diaye has played in just three games this season. He’ll become the Clippers’ third center.

He was hoping to make the team as a third center, but no such luck.

N’Diaye had played in two games since coming off the injured list 19 days ago.

N’diaye played five minutes and scored two points.

N’Diaye averaged 5.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 22 games with Toronto last season. He’ll stick around until Eduardo Najera and Shawn Bradley get healthy.
