The Phoenix Suns waived forward Marcus Landry on Friday.
After waiving Marcus Landry (Carl Landry’s brother), the Suns’ roster now stands at 13.

Marcus Landry will play for the Lakers in summer league, according to his agent.
Landry spent time with Mike D’Antoni in New York, so there is a familiarity there. Marcus is the brother of Carl Landry, but Marcus hasn’t been able to carve out a sustainable path in the NBA so far.

Kevin Ding is reporting that the Lakers are expected to sign F Marcus Landry, and that there’s a solid chance he’ll make the team’s opening-night roster.
Landry is a good shooter and the Lakers have needs at small forward. Landry shouldn’t be a difference maker in fantasy, but could fill a hole for the Lakers, who are currently looking at Nick Young and Wes Johnson as their small forward tandem.

Ryan Kelly (foot) will be re-evaluated in a week.
He has continued to have problems with his right foot since his surgery in April. Kelly’s slow recovery may have been the catalyst for the Lakers recently signing both Marcus Landry and Shawne Williams, but all three could miss out on a roster spot. When he was drafted, Kelly looked like a good fit for D’Antoni’s offense, but he is not even close to being on the radar right now.

Marcus Landry officially signed with the Lakers.
He was reportedly close to a deal, so this doesn’t come as too much of a surprise. Landry fills the need of another shooter off the bench for the Lakers, as their roster is lacking in guys that can shoot from the outside, but he still has work to do to make the final 15. At this point, there is no reason to believe he will have any fantasy value.

Free agent forward Marcus Landry will get a camp invite from the Lakers.
It will come with a small guarantee but he’s still a long shot to make the final roster. Carl’s brother has played for Mike D’Antoni in the past with the Knicks, so there is a chance D’Antoni may push for Landry to make the team.

Former NBA player Marcus Landry has reportedly signed a deal with the Italian team Brescia.
Landry played a combined 18 games with the Knicks and Celtics back in 2009-10, failing to make another NBA team despite training-camp invites from the Bucks, Kings and Lakers.

Marcus Landry signed a deal with the Bucks.
We haven’t seen the Wisconsin product in the NBA since the 2009-10 season with the Knicks, playing in just 17 games with 6.4 minutes per contest. Landry is basically just a camp body.

The Bucks have waived Marcus Landry.
He was never expected to make the team and was simply a training camp body.

Celtics forward Marcus Landry has been assigned to the Maine Red Claws of the D-League.
Landry should get plenty of experience under the bright lights of Portland’s 2,000-seat Exposition Building.
