Devin Carter (illness) and Doug McDermott (elbow) are out for Monday’s game against the Celtics.
While Carter was initially questionable for Monday’s game, McDermott was not included on the initial injury report. The latter’s absence will not impact fantasy basketball, as he is not in the rotation when healthy. As for Carter, with Malik Monk (illness) also out, Markelle Fultz will likely play rotation minutes off the bench.
  • SAC Shooting Guard #23
Keon Ellis, Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, Keegan Murray and Jonas Valanciunas will start Wednesday’s game against the Nuggets.
Already without Domantas Sabonis, the Kings will not have Malik Monk (toe) for Wednesday’s game in Denver. Ellis moves into the starting lineup and is worth streaming due to the Kings’ lack of depth at point guard. Markelle Fultz may play additional minutes off the bench, but he is not worth streaming in most leagues.
  • SAC Shooting Guard #0
Malik Monk (toe) is questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Nuggets.
Monk is dealing with a sore right toe and is not a lock to be available Wednesday night. Keon Ellis is the most likely replacement in the starting lineup if Monk doesn’t play. There may also be additional rotation minutes available to Markelle Fultz, but Ellis is the player fantasy managers should target.
  • SAC Point Guard #20
Markelle Fultz made his Kings debut on Friday and contributed eight points (4-of-5 FGs) and one assist in 10 minutes against the Warriors.
After going unsigned last summer, Fultz finally found a home in Sacramento last week. He made his debut for his new team on Friday, and while he only played 10 minutes, he was able to provide some buckets in limited action, including a smooth dunk in transition. Fultz did turn the ball over three times, which was the main blemish on his debut. It’s unlikely that he is able to carve out a large enough role to be worth rostering in standard leagues, but it was good to see him play well in his first game back in the league.

Markelle Fultz is set to make his Kings debut against the Pelicans on Thursday.
Fultz hasn’t appeared in an NBA game since last season and will get a chance to break into the rotation for a Kings team that’s without a true point guard. Fantasy managers should take a wait-and-see approach on Fultz.

Markelle Fultz and the Kings have agreed to a contract, per ESPN’s Shams Charania.
After hitting free agency last summer, Fultz could not find a deal with another NBA franchise. That reportedly changed Wednesday evening, as the first overall pick in the 2017 draft is headed to Sacramento. While Fultz is not a player who should be rostered in fantasy leagues, the Kings offer an opportunity to earn rotation minutes. Sacramento traded De’Aaron Fox and Jordan McLaughlin to the Spurs just before the trade deadline, leaving the rotation without a “true” point guard.
  • ORL Shooting Guard #14
Gary Harris (right hamstring strain) will not return to Tuesday’s game against Cleveland.
Harris will miss the fourth quarter of Game 5, and his status for Game 6 is now in question. Cole Anthony and Markelle Fultz should see a few extra minutes in his absence.
  • ORL Point Guard #4
Jalen Suggs (left knee strain) is questionable to return to Monday’s game against the Cavaliers.
Suggs injured his knee during the first quarter of Monday’s game and could not put any weight on his left leg while being helped off the court. Should he not return, Cole Anthony and Markelle Fultz will absorb most of the minutes that would usually go to Suggs. Fultz’s ceiling is limited due to Orlando’s desire to manage his playing time because of prior injuries.
  • ORL Small Forward #22
Franz Wagner (right ankle sprain) is available for Friday’s game against Philadelphia.
Wagner is back, returning after a two-game absence. Markelle Fultz started those two games and will return to the bench if Franz is not under significant restrictions. Also, Joe Ingles’ minutes likely decrease with Wagner in the rotation, but he wasn’t a great fantasy asset.
  • ORL Point Guard #20
Markelle Fultz (left knee injury management) is active for Wednesday’s Magic-Bucks matchup.
Fultz tallied 18 points, four rebounds, and a pair of assists in his first start of the month on Tuesday and is poised to suit up again. The Magic guard could run with the first unit again and has scored at least 15 points in three consecutive contests.
