Lakers coach Byron Scott has criticized Nick Young multiple times this seasoneven taking shots at Young’s hair.

Young, likely out for the rest of the year, is tired of it.

Young, via Mark Medina of the Los Angels Daily News:

“I’m used to it right now, hearing what Byron has to say,” said Young, who is in the first season of a four-year deal worth $21.5 million “I take it with a grain of salt.”

Does Young take Scott’s words as valuable feedback?

“Nah,” Young said. “I don’t know. I feel like it’s just a target toward me. It’s a little unfair. But it’s cool.”

Losing takes its toll, and it has been a long season for the Lakers. Everyone is in a bad mood, and Scott’s criticism would likely go over better in a different environment.

It’s hard to see the Lakers creating that environment next year, though. The best thing that can happen to this relationship is the Lakers firing Scott or trading Young.
