Along with center Brook Lopez, the Nets put three at least capable outside shooters on the court for their final offensive possession in regulation while trailing by three:
- Bojan Bogdanovic: 38-103 on 3-pointers this season (37%)
- Joe Johnson: 36-115 on 3-pointers this season (31%)
- Jarrett Jack: 27-88 on 3-pointers this season (31%)
- Thaddeus Young: 1-for-12 on 3-pointers this season (8%)
Of course, Young hit the game-tying 3-pointer.
He also blocked J.J. Barea’s shot on the Mavericks ensuing possession to force overtime.
Unfortunately for the Nets, Dallas won, 119-118, in overtime.
