“Zoran was playing like he had played 48 minutes already,” Scott said. “If that’s the way he’s going to play, he’s going to play very, very limited minutes.” With Jason Kidd out, Pack played the entire fourth quarter against the Raptors. Kidd is likely to return Tuesday, but if he doesn’t, it could be Pack who gets the start.

The Blazers are down to 14 players, giving them the room to sign another big man if they want to.

Pack, 34, is expected to take over as the backup for Jason Kidd, who is averaging 41.4 minutes. He played with the Nets in 1996-97, and has averaged 9.3 points and 4.8 assists in his career.

Pack should be an upgrade in the reserve point guard spot for the Nets, but he’ll only have fantasy value if Jason Kidd gets hurt.

Pack, released by the team on Wednesday, will get another chance to back up Jason Kidd.

Unless the Nets can sign Charlie Ward, they’ll probably look to bring back Pack on a 10-day contract.

Pack will help back up Jason Kidd for at least a few more games. He could be re-signed for the rest of the season once his 10 days are up.

Pack, whose second 10-day contract was to expire this week, averaged 1.9 points in 26 games for the Nets.
