The Mavericks used the No. 52 pick to acquire C Satnam Singh Bhamara.
The 19-year-old prospect is the first Indian-born player to be drafted in the NBA. He has an impressive 7'2", 290 pound body but it’s very doubtful that we’ll see him state-side this season and he’s not on the fantasy radar.

Mark Cuban doesn’t expect rookie C Satnam Singh to play in the NBA this season.
“I don’t see him playing in the NBA this year,” Cuban said. “We’ll give him time to develop.” Mavs assistant Kaleb Canales praised Singh’s aggressiveness and on-court communication during Summer League, but the 290-pound big man will spend most if not all of the 2015-16 season in the D-League.

Mark Cuban heaped praise on Satnam Singh Bhamara, saying that he was one of the best 3-point shooters that the Mavericks worked out.
“We wanted a big guy,” Cuban said when asked why he drafted Bhamara. “We believe in creating legends down in Dallas. He’s enormous. What we really liked about him he really could shoot the ball. He was one of the better 3-point shooters we brought through. It was shocking, but true. The guy is a knock down shooter. He’s intense. He works hard. He’s been at IMG academy working with them for several years. We’re excited that he’ll come and play on our summer league team. You guys will see what he’s able to do.” Bhamara is a 7'2 center weighing in at 290 pounds, so it’s impressive that he is able to knock down 3-pointers consistently. The 19-year-old is still a huge project, so he won’t make an immediate impact in Dallas.

The Dallas Mavericks have reached an agreement to sign Tunisian center Salah Mejri to a partially guaranteed three-year deal.
Mejri played with Real Madrid last season and averaged 4.3 points and 2.1 boards in 9.2 minutes per game, but the 7'1", 245 pound center does have good size and excels at the pick-and-roll, so it’s a decent signing for Dallas. Zaza Pachulia is penciled in as the starting center, but Mejri could emerge as the primary backup because Satnam Singh and Jarrid Famous likely aren’t ready to contribute.
