Lions signed RB Anthony Sherrell, CBs A.J. Davis and Ramzee Robinson, WR Ron Bellamy, TE Rudy Sylvan, S LaMarcus Hicks, and OL Ben Noll to their practice squad.

Johnny Baldwin will join the squad if he passes through waivers. Davis and Robinson were draft picks in April. Sherrell is Detroit’s fifth tailback.

Just one week after being signed, running back Anthony Sherrell has been released by the Lions.

The acquisition of veteran Lamar Gordon made Sherrell expendable. Detroit has also called up OL Clint Stickdorn from its practice squad after Barry Stokes was placed on injured reserve.
