Bucs declared T Anthony Davis, QB Brad Johnson, WR Derrick Lewis, FB Jameel Cook, G Jeb Terry, WR Joey Galloway, DE Josh Savage, and WR Marcus Knight inactive for week five.
Johnson is now the Bucs No. 3 QB. Tim Brown is starting opposite Charles Lee at wideout.
  • DAL Quarterback
Coach Jon Gruden says the Bucs aren’t interested in trading Brad Johnson.
The small chance that Johnson would be moved was probably squashed when Chris Simms was injured last week.
  • DAL Quarterback
Brad Johnson has requested to be cut or be traded.
Johnson is “open to any option to get back on the field.” Baltimore could potentially have interest, but we doubt it.
  • DAL Quarterback
Brad Johnson will be released by Tuesday.
Arizona and Detroit are two teams that could be interested once he hits the open market.
  • DAL Quarterback
The Bucs suggested Monday that they may not release Brad Johnson - at least not yet.
The team may retain him until they work out a deal for another veteran QB. It could just be hot air though: it makes little sense to keep Johnson’s $4.5 million contract as insurance.
  • DAL Quarterback
Brad Johnson completed 16-of-30 passes for 223 yards and a touchdown in a Week 1 win.
He was even better than the numbers indicated because of a few drops and plenty of passes thrown away. Johnson isn’t an exciting fantasy option, but he impresses us every time we watch him. He’s a decent QB2 as long as he’s healthy, but the schedule gets tough the next two weeks.
  • DAL Quarterback
Jon Gruden announced Monday that Brad Johnson will start at QB for the Bucs in week three.
Johnson was replaced for playing poorly in the first half of Sunday’s game. Obviously, his fantasy value is questionable right now and his owners should at least look at replacing him.
  • DAL Quarterback
Brad Johnson has been taken out of today’s game.
We’re not sure if he was injured or taken out for a poor first half yet.
  • DAL Quarterback
Brad Johnson completed 22-of-36 passes for 309 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.
Johnson looked woeful for most of the game, before racking up stats during garbage time. With few weapons around him, we wouldn’t expect Johnson to post many games like this.
  • DAL Quarterback
Brad Johnson completed 24-of-37 passes for 169 yards and 1 INT. in a 16-10 Bucs loss to the Redskins.
Johnson looked worse than him numbers indicate. He took too many sacks and never got in a groove. It will take quite a few games like this before Johnson is on the hot seat, however.
