Chris Baker broke his hand on Sunday.
No word which hand, but this extinguishes any ambers of fantasy value Baker has left.
  • SEA Tight End
Following the trade of Doug Jolley to Tampa Bay, Chris Baker is now the Jets’ clear-cut starting tight end.
Joel Dreesen is currently second on the depth chart. Baker is athletic but struggles with drops and isn’t worth drafting in fantasy leagues.
  • SEA Tight End
Chris Baker had four catches for 34 yards and a touchdown Sunday.
Following the trade of Doug Jolley, Baker can be a bye-week pickup.
  • SEA Tight End
Chris Baker caught one pass for 11 yards in week six.
Baker was on a mini-roll, but he’s nothing more than a bye week fill-in.
  • SEA Tight End
Chris Baker will be listed as probable for week eleven.
He injured his hand Sunday, but will be ready to play. Baker has minimal fantasy value.
  • ARI Tight End #89
The additions of Chris Baker and rookie Anthony McCoy are expected to allow John Carlson to line up in the slot more frequently this year.
Baker was signed to block, and McCoy was used as an in-line blocker often in USC’s pro-style scheme. Carlson was ineffective on the line for much of last year, and has pretty much established himself as a catch-first tight end entering his third season. Seattle won’t field an explosive passing game, but their lack of quality wideouts bodes well for Carlson’s fantasy outlook.
  • SEA Tight End
Chris Baker had seven catches for 124 yards and a touchdown against K.C.
Baker will be one of the biggest free agent pickups after this performance. Mike Heimerdinger likes to use his tight ends and Baker is clearly way ahead of Doug Jolley. Baker won’t keep this up, but he’s a reasonable TE2 in fantasy leagues.
  • SEA Tight End
Chris Baker will be New York’s week one starting tight end.
Very interesting. New coordinator Mike Heimerdinger used his tight end a lot in Tennessee, so Baker joins an interesting mix of tight ends likely to be available on most waiver wires.
  • SEA Tight End
Chris Baker had three receptions for 45 yards in week three.
Baker has proven he’ll be the Jets main tight end receiving threat. New York acquired Doug Jolley this offseason, but he’s only managed two catches for 18 yards this year.
  • SEA Tight End
Chris Baker had one catch for three yards in week two.
And that’s why you don’t overrate week one too much. We actually think Baker can have a solid season, but he needs to have a couple bad games to let Tony Gonzalez catch up.
