Giants OL coach Dave DeGuglielmo has tested positive for COVID-19.
DeGulielmo won’t coach Sunday against the Cowboys. The Giants have isolated him and two “potential close contacts.” The team facility remains open and they plan to practice Friday. Sunday’s game is still on as scheduled.

  • ESPN’s Dan Graziano reports the Giants will interview former Dolphins OL coach Dave DeGuglielmo for the same position.
DeGuglielmo previously served as an assistant OL and quality control coach for the Giants from 2004-08. The 51-year-old has history with Giants coach Joe Judge, who worked with DeGuglielmo when both were assistants under Bill Belichick in New England from 2014-15. DeGuglielmo spent last year as the Dolphins’ OL coach but was let go shortly after Week 17.
  • Dolphins mutually parted ways with OL coach Dave DeGuglielmo.
DeGuglielmo worked alongside Brian Flores in New England and largely did a good job in 2019 with the hand he was dealt. The Dolphins reportedly discussed a contract extension, but the pair couldn’t come to an agreement.
  • Dolphins fired OL coach Pat Flaherty.
“Analyst” and ex-Dolphins OL Dave DeGuglielmo has been promoted to take his place. Per NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport, Flaherty was “struggling to implement the new system.” DeGuglielmo worked alongside Brian Flores in New England. He did an excellent job with the Colts’ 2018 offensive line, though he embarrassed himself when he became upset at OT Denzelle Good for taking time away from the team following the death of his brother. Good asked for his release and was granted it. DeGuglielmo was fired in January.
  • Patriots fired OL coach Dave DeGuglielmo.
DeGuglielmo takes the fall after the Patriots’ offensive line allowed Tom Brady to get hit a record-setting 20 times in the AFC Championship game against the Broncos on Sunday. “Guges” is a well-respected coach who had been with the Patriots for three seasons. He’s been coaching offensive lines since 1991. DeGuglielmo was dealt a tough job with the Patriots losing LT Nate Solder early in the season and not having a steady starting lineup from week to week.
