David Moore caught 6-of-10 targets for 80 yards and a touchdown in the Panthers’ Week 12 loss against the Chiefs.
With Jalen Coker sidelined with a quad injury, Moore came out of nowhere to lead the Panthers in targets and receptions, catching Bryce Young’s lone touchdown on the day. Moore nearly came down with another touchdown in the fourth quarter on a desperation throw from a pressured Young. He ran a route on 41 of Young’s 43 drop backs. Moore’s 80 yards against KC were the fourth most of his seven-year NFL career. While it would be surprising if Moore continued operating as Carolina’s WR1, he could be worth a pickup in deeper fantasy formats if Coker remains out in Week 13 against the Bucs.

Jalen Coker caught 3-of-3 targets for 30 yards in the Panthers’ Week 6 loss to the Falcons.
The rookie Coker has seen more opportunities with Adam Thielen out, seeing three targets in the Panthers’ loss to the Falcons. He was the No. 3 wideout in targets, behind Diontae Johnson and Xavier Legette, though in the subpar Panthers offense, Coker is no more than a deep league stash. The other receivers mixing in for the Panthers were David Moore, who caught both of his targets for 17 yards, and Jonathan Mingo, who caught his sole target for one yard. Neither of the three should be in fantasy lineups as of now.

Panthers agreed to terms with WR David Moore, formerly of the Buccaneers.
Moore joins the Panthers for what is technically his second stint, first joining the Panthers back in 2021 and getting released prior to the start of the season. He began his career with the Seahawks as a depth receiver, totaling 1,163 receiving yards in three seasons after playing in just one game his rookie year. Moore then bounced around the league, most recently catching five passes for 94 yards and a touchdown for the Buccaneers in 2023, spending most of his time on special teams. The 29-year-old is a depth and special teams add for the Panthers.
  • TB Wide Receiver #13
Mike Evans caught 3-of-7 targets for 48 yards in the Buccaneers’ Wildcard Round win over the Eagles.
Evans got the better of Eagles cornerback Darius Slay in the fourth quarter but otherwise played second fiddle to second-year tight end Cade Otton, which is likely a function of the health of quarterback Baker Mayfield. Evans also watched as David Moore, Trey Palmer, and Chris Godwin caught touchdowns on fewer targets. Either way, Evans and the Bucs advance to the Divisional Round where they’ll face the Lions in Detroit next week.
  • TB Wide Receiver #19
David Moore caught both of his targets for 68 yards and a touchdown in the Bucs’ Week 15 win over the Packers.
Promoted to the Bucs’ active roster earlier this week, Moore immediately returned the favor with a 52-yard score, nearly all of which came after the catch. Moore avoided roughly three defenders before out-sprinting at least two more on his way to the end zone. He remains off the fantasy radar for Week 15 based on his limited role, though the long touchdown could earn him more playing time as the team’s third receiver down the stretch.
  • FA Wide Receiver #19
    Buccaneers waived WR David Moore.
Moore was given a chance to compete for a spot on the 53-man roster in camp after the Buccaneers signed him to a one-year deal this offseason. The former Seahawks and Bears receiver has posted a career receiving line of 78-1,163-13 but is two years removed from his last regular-season reception. Moore has proven to be an explosive playmaker at times and has averaged a solid 14.9 yards per reception for his career. Moore has a chance to return to the Bucs practice squad if he clears waivers.

Buccaneers signed WR David Moore, formerly of the Bears, to a contract.
Moore missed all of 2022 with a leg injury but impressed enough at his tryout with the Bucs to earn a contract. The former Seahawks receiver posted a 78-1163-13 line in his four years with the team but hasn’t caught a regular season pass in more than two years. He made a name for himself as a lightly used deep threat during his days with the Seahawks and could serve in a similar role with the Buccaneers if he’s able to earn a roster spot in training camp.

  • CAR Wide Receiver #83
Bears placed WR David Moore on injured reserve with a leg injury.
Moore was forecasted to be “out for a bit” when he was injured 10 days ago. The most likely outcome is the 27-year-old getting released with an injury settlement once healthy.

  • CAR Wide Receiver #83
Bears WR David Moore was arrested on drug and weapons charges.
Moore was arrested on Monday in his hometown of Gainesville, Texas, and has since been released from jail on a $5,000 bond. Moore signed a two-year deal with the Panthers in 2021 but did not end up making the final roster. He landed on the Raiders practice squad before the Broncos signed him. He spent less than a month in Denver before being released. Moore signed a one-year deal with the Bears in April but was firmly on the roster bubble, even with the Bears depth chart being what it is. Monday’s arrest will not help his chances of making the final 53.

Bears signed WR David Moore to a one-year contract.
Moore’s deal comes after he participated in Bears OTAs on a tryout basis. Most famous for his time with the Seahawks, 27-year-old Moore spent 2021 between the Broncos and Packers, combining for zero catches across three appearances. He is most likely offseason 90-man roster filler in the Windy City.
