Jets re-signed WR Irvin Charles to a contract.
Charles rarely produces as a receiver but has proven himself to be an elite special teams player. His 88.6 PFF special teams grade ranks seventh among more than 225 NFL players to record at least 210 special teams snaps in 2024. He boasts 13 special teams tackles in his two-year NFL career.

Irvin Charles, a 4-star commit from Haddonfield, N.J has made a verbal commitment to Penn state.
“PennState gets commit from 4-star WR Irvin Charles. PSU’s 11 4-star commits as many blue-chippers as it had in last 3 classes combined,” Feldman tweeted. The 6-foot-4, 212 pound Charles, caught 49 passes last year for 848 yards and 11 touchdowns for Paul VI High School. The Penn State prospect chose the Lions over Ohio State, Florida, Alabama, Rutgers, Pitt, South Carolina and many others. Charles will be a part of the Lions’ class of 2015.

Penn State redshirt sophomore WR Irvin Charles is no longer with the program.
This news has been confirmed by a Penn State spokesman. The 6-foot-4, 212-pounder was a four-star recruit coming out of high school, but has yet to truly make his mark with the Nittany Lions. He’s caught three passes for 110 yards and a touchdown in his career. Just one catch for four yards this season. His next move is not currently known.
