Chiefs signed NC State LB Isaiah Moore.
Moore (6’2/233) put together an impressive resume during his college career. Moore was named a starter in 2018 after redshirting as a true freshman and never looked back, racking up 341 tackles, 43.5 TFLs, and 11.5 sacks in his career. A torn ACL ended his 2021 campaign after five games, but he returned in 2022 to close out his career in impressive fashion. A willing run-stopper and physical linebacker, Moore excels at diagnosing running lanes and explodes on ball carriers when within range. Average speed (4.68 40-time) and underwhelming agility will make it difficult for him to switch direction and maintain pace with the play, but he’s a physical presence when engaging blockers. Teams might prefer to sideline him on passing downs, but could eventually utilize him as an early-down defender and run-stopper.
