Browns claimed RB Raheim Sanders off waivers from the Chargers.
He’ll slot in as the third back behind Dylan Sampson and Jerome Ford for the time being. The rookie 23-year-old had a 79.2 PFF pass block grade in 59 total snaps in the preseason and could eventually replace Ford as the third-down back — he was a strong possibility for the Chargers practice squad had he made it unclaimed. The Browns also claimed CB Jarrick Bernard-Converse off waivers from the Jets.
  • Jets selected LSU DB Jarrick Bernard-Converse with the No. 204 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Bernard-Converse (6'1/205) didn’t earn himself an invite to the combine but blazed a 4.39 40-yard dash at his pro day. A former four-year starter at Oklahoma State, Bernard-Converse transferred to LSU for his final season and finished the year with 44 tackles and two interceptions. A former first-team All-Big 12 player during his time with the Cowboys, Bernard-Converse has years of starting experience and decent size and speed to compete at the NFL level.

  • Former Oklahoma State senior DB Jarrick Bernard-Converse has committed to LSU.
Bernard-Converse (6'1/200) spent less than a week in the transfer portal before deciding to make LSU his next destination. The former three-star recruit has been one of the more accomplished defensive backs to come through the transfer portal this offseason. Last season, Bernard-Converse was named first-team All-Big 12 for the Cowboys, as he posted 51 tackles, 11 pass breakups and one sack on the season per PFF.com. Now heading to LSU, Bernard-Converse will look to take his wealth of experience and playmaking ability to the SEC to help usher in the Brian Kelly era in Baton Rouge.

  • Oklahoma State senior DB Jarrick Bernard-Converse has entered the transfer portal.
You won’t find many players in the transfer portal more accomplished than Bernard-Converse (6'1/200), who was named first-team All-Big 12 in 2021 after posting 51 tackles and pass breakups for one of the best defenses in the nation. Bernard-Converse has started 47 games for Oklahoma State and was a member of its 2018 recruiting class. The former three-star prospect should have a hot market, as he brings both a wealth of experience and production to whatever team is fortunate enough to land him.
