Eagles claimed CB Jimmy Moreland off waivers from the Texans.
Moreland played for the Texans in 2021, getting more of his reps in on special teams. Before playing in Houston, he played roughly half of Washington’s defensive snaps for two seasons. Moreland is a capable slot corner who can pitch in on special teams with needed. His versatility should give him a good shot at making Philly’s final roster.

Drafted by Washington in 2019, Moreland lasted two years with the Commander before being waived just before the start of the 2021 season. Houston claimed him off waivers shortly after. Texans claimed CB Jimmy Moreland off waivers from Washington.
Moreland was projected as a starter for Wahington before the team released him amid final cuts. He started 16 games in 2020 and totaled 33 solo tackles plus an interception while primarily playing in the slot. Moreland should see meaningful snaps right away due to Houston’s lack of cornerback talent.

    Washington waived CB Jimmy Moreland.
Mostly a slot corner during his two years with the Football Team, Moreland started five games in 2020 and played in all 16. He had one interception and 33 solo tackles last year. Moreland should make his way onto another roster in the coming days.

Redskins placed CB Jimmy Moreland on injured reserve with a foot injury, ending his season.
A seventh-round pick out of small-school James Madison, Moreland spent a lot of time in the slot for the undermanned Redskins. His rookie year finishes with 470 snaps, a huge number for a day-three rookie. Moreland should have a good chance at keeping his 53-man roster spot 2020, and figures to remain in the mix at nickel back.

Redskins selected James Madison CB Jimmy Moreland with the No. 227 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
Moreland (5'10"/179) went through plenty of peaks and valleys during his time at James Madison. He was dismissed from the team following an arrest for petty larceny in 2016 but returned as a walk-on the following year and managed to stay out of trouble for the rest of his JMU tenure. On the field, he was a ball-hawk, racking up 18 interceptions including six he returned for touchdowns. A consensus FCS All-American in 2018, Moreland could be a nice find for the ‘Skins, especially this late in the draft.
