The long-time snapper of snaps longer than the average snap will enter his age-40 season with the Panthers in 2026. Jansen has played in every single game of Panthers football since signing with the club as a UDFA in 2009. He has recovered one fumble and made one Pro Bowl. He also has snapped many, many balls a moderate distance away from his person in an attempt to set up some good punts and kicks.

Jansen, who just turned 39 last month, will be back for a 17th season with the Panthers. Jansen has played in 260 career games and continues to raise the bar for long snappers around the league. A true master of his craft, we look forward to see how Jansen grows his legacy in 2025.

A man whose snaps are as long as his tenure in Carolina, Jansen has been with the Panthers since 2009. He has appeared in all 250 of the team’s games, regular and postseason, in his 15-year career. The franchise leader in games played will return for his age-38 season this fall.

This marks the third-straight one-year deal for Jansen, who holds the record for most games played by a Panther (226). The 37-year-old vet will return for his 15th season with the team.

The 36-year-old snapper of snaps that travel longer than normal snaps will be back for his 14th season in Carolina.

Jansen, who was slated to become a free agent next week, will stay in Carolina, where he’s played all 16 regular season games with the Panthers every season since 2009.

Undrafted out of Notre Dame, Jansen has handled long-snapping duties in Carolina since 2009. He was credited with zero “bad snaps” in 2011.

Jansen has been the Panthers’ snapper since 2009 and has never missed a game.

The pick is likely conditional based on how long Jansen lasts in Carolina. The Panthers are moving on from longtime snapper Jason Kyle. Jansen, a 2008 undrafted free agent, spent his rookie season on injured reserve.

“Jeffrey Richard” Jansen has three accrued seasons and is a “real” restricted free agent. As a long snapper, he probably received the lowest tender. The 25-year-old out of Notre Dame has been Carolina’s snapper for two years.
