    The Steelers have basically told guard Keydrick Vincent he won’t be back with the team next season.
    He’s entering unrestricted free agency and should get a nice contract elsewhere. Kendall Simmons, who missed this season with injury, will take over for Vincent.
  • Former Steelers guard Keydrick Vincent will visit with the Ravens today.
    The solid starter would likely slide right into the starting right guard spot in Baltimore.
  • Ravens signed guard Keydrick Vincent, formerly of the Steelers, to a three-year, $4.64 million deal that includes a $1.25 million signing bonus.
    He started for most of the last two years due to injury. Mike Flynn should move back to center, with Vincent starting at guard next season. It’s good news for Jamal Lewis and Kyle Boller owners that Baltimore keeps their offensive line a priority.

    Vincent will add depth initially, and could eventually push to start. He was a solid guard for Baltimore before a decline in 2006, but is only 29 and should be able to provide some help with Elton Brown’s status uncertain.

    The Jets have a need at guard and have been reported to have potential interest in Vincent, a mauler who didn’t fit the Ravens’ more athletic look along the offensive line. Chris Chester takes over at right guard in Baltimore.

    Fonoti got a lot of local press earlier in camp because of his size and colorful history, but the team likes the way the steady veteran Vincent has blocked.
