Campbell

Campbell has six catches for 72 yards the last two games. The Bills say they will throw to him in the red zone, making him an interesting sleeper at the position.

The Bills want to get the ball out of Drew Bledsoe’s hands faster, but we’ll believe it when we see it. New coach Mike Mularkey barely used tight ends in Pittsburgh. Campbell is still undraftable, but could be useful as an injury pickup.

Ernie Conwell was inactive for the contest and Zach Hilton is third on New Orleans’ depth chart at tight end. Avoid Saints TEs for fantasy.

Campbell hadn’t had a catch the past three games. The three touchdowns matched his previous career high for a season. He is one of Drew Bledsoe’s preferred targets in the red zone, but Bledsoe isn’t productive enough to make Campbell that strong of an option in fantasy leagues.

It looked serious. We’ll update once we know more.

Tim Euhus will play more with Campbell out. Campbell was beginning to grow in the Buffalo offense the last month.

''I told him if I don’t catch 35 balls he’s going to owe me some money for each ball under that,’' Campbell said. Given how much Losman likes to scramble around, he may need to dump the ball off to Campbell before getting his head torn off by a linebacker quite a bit this season.

Buffalo’s desperate tight end situation is looking a little better. It looks like Campbell and Tim Euhus will be ready for camp.
