Harris

Harris, a special teamer, is uncertain to play next week.

Jon Kitna can breathe a small sigh of relief, but he’ll still have Shaun Phillips and Igor Olshansky after him. Merriman could miss a few weeks with what an MRI revealed Monday to be a sprained knee. Marques Harris will fill in.

The reserve linebacker broke the hand in Week 16 and likely will miss the season finale. NT Jamal Williams (hip) sat out practice on Wednesday, but is expected to play and help slow down the Raiders potent running attack.

Harris, 28, can play special teams and rush the passer in a pinch. He had 2.5 sacks last season and knows coordinator Greg Manusky’s 3-4 scheme.

Harris hasn’t been able to shake a hamstring injury. The former Charger had been limited to special teams the past two seasons.

It’d be Tucker, Carlos Polk, or Marques Harris. Tucker showed potential in Week 17 last year, racking up three sacks, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery he returned for a touchdown. Of course, he did it against Oakland, so it might not count. But he’s someone to monitor in big-play IDP leagues.
