Depending on what the ‘conditions’ are, the Packers did pretty well. Sure, they desperately need corner help. But McKenzie was becoming a huge distraction and O’Sullivan is a decent QB prospect after an impressive preseason. McKenzie will likely send Fred Thomas to the bench and help a shaky New Orleans secondary.

It took awhile, but the Green Bay transplant has really come on the last month of the season. He has four picks in three games and is allowing the Saints to play man coverage most of the game, so their athletic linebackers and safeties can fly around.

The Packers haven’t commented, but they won’t want to deal McKenzie. McKenzie is somewhat underpaid, but continues in a trend of Green Bay defenders that have been grumbling about the organization.

Neither side commented on the talks. McKenzie appears steadfast in his desire to leave the Packers. He’s Green Bay’s best cornerback.

McKenzie, who has gone through 4 agents in five seasons, is currently seeking a trade out of Green Bay. He did not attend mandatory minicamp last month.
