The 49ers are cutting bait on last year’s fourth-round pick.
According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, the 49ers are waiving running back Joe Williams.
Williams spent his entire rookie year on injured reserve with an ankle injury, and had been bothered by a rib injury during camp this year.
He’s apparently healthy now, and his draft status alone will cause teams to see if he’s worth bringing in.
