Aaron Rodgers wasn’t perfect.

But he was close.

The Packers quarterback got an early exit, leading his team to a commanding 38-17 win over the Panthers.

Rodgers had as many touchdowns as incomplete passes, going 19-of-22 for 255 yards and three touchdowns. His 154.5 passer rating was just a tick off the perfect rating of 158.3.

That allowed him to watch most of the fourth quarter from the sidelines, as this one was over early.

It was their fourth straight win, improving them to 5-2.

The Panthers defense was dreadful, unable to stop the run or the pass, missing tackles and committing stupid penalties throughout the day, and they fell to 3-3-1, which might still work in the suddenly awful NFC South.

They pulled quarterback Cam Newton for his own safety in the fourth quarter, after injuries took starting left tackle Byron Bell and right guard Trai Turner out of the game.
