Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib has missed three straight games with a back problem. As the team prepares for its mandatory bye-week break, they got Talib back at practice following an injection into his back.

“It was really good,” coach Gary Kubiak told reporters regarding Talib’s effort.” I think I told you guys [Monday] he worked a little bit on his own. I watched him from upstairs. He’s feeling good. The injection was a successful thing that they did. I know how excited he is about the last six weeks, so it’s good to see him get some work in. We’ll pick it up again next week.”

As the 7-3 Broncos try to close the gap on the Chiefs and Raiders and re-claim the division crown, Kubiak made it clear that the team needs to get Talib back.

“It’s his attitude,” Kubiak said of Talib. ‘He’s just such a positive play-making, energy guy. Aqib is a loud guy, a personality, but it’s all about football when he’s out here. He’s very bright. We missed him. It’s great to have him back and it’s just great to know that he’s feeling well.”

The Broncos host the Chiefs on Sunday, November 27. Following a road trip to Jacksonville and Tennessee, the Broncos return to Denver for one of the biggest games of the year -- a visit from the Patriots.
