One of the Eagles players at Cheerleaders Gentleman’s Club with Eagles wide receiver Nelson Agholor Thursday before Agholor was accused of sexual assault was defensive end Connor Barwin.

We know that because Barwin released a statement Friday saying he was only there “for a very short period of time” and has “no knowledge about anything that happened after [he] left the establishment.”

A dancer at the club accused Agholor of assaulting her. NJ.com reported Friday afternoon that she made the claim after having a dispute with Agholor about how much money he owed her. That report said other Eagles players were at the club and that other dancers told club management that Agholor did nothing wrong.

Agholor has not been charged with a crime, and a police spokesman told NJ.com that the investigation is ongoing.

Barwin’s statement read: “As a result of my name being mentioned with this alleged incident, I would like to clarify that I was only present at the establishment for a very short period of time and have no knowledge about anything that happened after I left the establishment. I stopped by there for about a half hour to meet my teammates and left about 2:30 p.m.”

Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reported that Barwin and Fletcher Cox were the other Eagles players with Agholor.

The Eagles completed mandatory minicamp and their offseason program on Thursday. The team released a statement on Friday that said: “We are aware of the police investigation involving Nelson Agholor. The organization has been in contact with Nelson and with the proper authorities in Philadelphia. Because of the legal nature of this matter, we will have no further comment.”
