Bears bring back Kyle Adams, dump Jonathan Scott

On Monday, the Bears cut Kyle Adams. On Tuesday, they brought him back.

The third year pro from Purdue, who has appeared in 23 games for the Bears over his first two seasons, apparently became expendable when the Bears traded for veteran tight end Dante Rosario. A day later, the Bears opted to bring Adams back -- and to get rid of veteran tackle Jonathan Scott.

Scott joined the Bears last year after spending time with the Lions, Bills, and Steelers. He appeared in 12 games, with seven starts.

Since Scott is a vested veteran, his full salary of $715,000 would have been as a practical matter guaranteed if he had been on the Week One roster.
