Both teams may be missing running backs when the Jets and Bills meet at Ralph Wilson Stadium on Sunday.
Jets running back Bilal Powell missed practice for the third straight day on Friday, which earned him a questionable listing on the team’s final injury report of the week. The actual chances of Powell playing may be worse than 50-50, however. The Jets haven’t had a player take part in a game this season after missing an entire week of practice, which would seem to make Powell an unlikely participant in Week 17.
Chris Ivory and Stevan Ridley would be the options in the backfield without Powell. Right tackle Breno Giacomini is also listed as questionable after returning to practice in limited fashion on Friday.
On the Buffalo side, running back LeSean McCoy has been ruled out for the second straight week due to a knee injury. The Jets also won’t have to deal with tight end Charles Clay or cornerback Ron Brooks as they try for a win that will grant them a berth in the postseason.
