Veteran cornerback Leodis McKelvin is hitting the free agent market.

The Bills cut McKelvin today, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Buffalo will free up $3.9 million in salary cap space with the move. The Bills entered this offseason in precarious cap shape, but they’ve made a number of moves designed to free up some money, and the departure of McKelvin is the latest.

The 30-year-old McKelvin, who has spent his entire eight-year career in Buffalo, played in nine games last year, with five starts.
