The Bills have finally added someone on defense this offseason, instead of just subtracting.
Safety Robert Blanton has signed with the team after today’s visit, according to his agent.
Blanton figures to add depth at safety, for a team that’s hoping to get Aaron Williams back on the field to pair with Corey Graham next year. The fifth-year safety was initially a fifth-round pick from Notre Dame.
Blanton played a bigger role on defense two years ago, starting 13 games, but the Vikings signed veteran Michael Griffin to fill the spot next to Harrison Smith next season.
