The Arizona Cardinals have one of the top defenses in the league and are leading the NFC West as they reach their bye week with a 6-2 record.

However, head coach Bruce Arians isn’t happy with the status quo in the desert.

Arians said he wants more out of defensive end Calais Campbell than they’ve received through eight games this season.

He needs to be dominating the game,” Arians said, via Bob Baum of the Associated Press. “He got very close, but he loses his technique sometimes and doesn’t use his hands. He should have had a four-sack day. His stats were minimal.”

Campbell was named to the Pro Bowl for the first time in 2014 despite many strong seasons for the Cardinals. But Campbell has just 1.5 sacks so far in 2015 and is fifth on the team in tackles.

“He’s got the talent (to dominate a game),” Arians said, “and he’s shown he can. He needs to do it all the time.”

Both the Cardinals and their next opponent, the Seattle Seahawks, have byes this week before a meeting on Sunday Night Football in Week 10.
