Bucs ownership may not be completely comfortable with Winston

Joel Glazer, one of the siblings who have run the Buccaneers since the death of Malcolm Glazer, said last month that the team would be comfortable with Jameis Winston as its franchise quarterback. But some of his siblings may disagree.

Darcie Glazer Kassewitz, a Glazer sibling who is also part of the ownership group, has reportedly raised some questions about whether Winston is the right person to be the face of the franchise.

Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports reports that Kassewitz is one of the voices whose opinion could influence the pick, and she has raised questions about how drafting Winston could affect the franchise from a community relations standpoint. The report does not say Kassewitz is opposed to drafting Winston, but it does raise questions about whether everyone in Tampa is completely comfortable with picking a player with a litany of off-field issues.

Most people still expect the Buccaneers to use the first overall pick on Winston, but the Bucs -- who worked out Marcus Mariota this week -- don’t appear to have their minds completely made up. As talented as Winston is, it’s hard for anyone to be completely sold on him.
