The Chargers signed a Gronkowski Tuesday, but not the fun one.

According to Michael Gehlken of U-T San Diego, the team signed former Colts and Broncos fullback Chris Gronkowski.

He’s also spent some time with the Cowboys, but the other two links are important, as he was in Indianapolis with new Chargers GM Tom Telesco in 2011 and in Denver with new Chargers coach Mike McCoy last season.

Chris is the brother of Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, but hasn’t approached his brother’s success. The former undrafted rookie from Arizona has five rushes and eight receptions for a grand total of 63 yards in three seasons, though he does have a touchdown.
