Eagles head coach Chip Kelly has responded to news that Oregon is reportedly believed to have committed NCAA violations during his tenure with the school. Via the Eagles, here is Kelly’s statement on the matter:
“I am aware of the recent reports and of the ongoing investigation being conducted by the NCAA and the University of Oregon. While at Oregon, I know we were fully cooperative with all aspects of the investigation and I will continue to contribute in any way that I can. But until the NCAA rules on the matter, I will have no further comment.”
Kelly became the Eagles’ head coach on January 16, less than two weeks after Oregon defeated Kansas State in the Fiesta Bowl. The Ducks were 46-7 in his four years as head coach.
