The Cowboys locked up one of their own, reaching a three-year contract extension with defensive end Sean Lissemore, according to Todd Archer of ESPNDallas.com.

The former seventh-rounder was already under contract through 2013, but this keeps him with the team through 2016.

He doesn’t start, but he is a regular in the rotation, and is viewed as someone who could take on a bigger role in the future. He can play inside and outside, and that versatility added to his value.
