Faced with an injury to an already remade offensive line, the Dolphins are already tapping into the veteran backup market.
According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, the Dolphins are close to a deal with former Packers and Cardinals lineman Daryn Colledge.
He was apparently the winner of the four-man cattle call, which included Samson Satele, Steve Vallos and former Texans tackle Ryan Harris.
The 32-year-old Colledge gives them guard depth, which allows them to continue to look at Sam Brenner, Nate Garner or Shelley Smith in the middle.
They were forced to look for help when they found out starting center Mike Pouncey needed hip surgery and could miss regular season games.
