Dolphins add linebacker Phillip Wheeler

Tampa Bay Buccaneers v Oakland Raiders

at O.co Coliseum on November 4, 2012 in Oakland, California.

The Dolphins are doing a good job of selling tickets -- and buying votes.

Along the way, they’re also improving their football team.

Per a league source, the Dolphins have agreed to terms with former Raiders linebacker Phillip Wheeler. He’s currently on his way to Miami from the West Coast.

It’s a five-year, $26 million deal, with $13 million fully guaranteed.

Wheeler signed with the Raiders last year, after four seasons with the Colts.

It’s been a dizzying day for Dolphins fans, who would have been thrilled simply with getting receiver Mike Wallace. They’ve now added linebacker Dannell Ellerbe from the Ravens, and Wheeler from the Raiders.
