The Dolphins placed cornerback Will Davis on injured reserve on Saturday, the club said.
To fill the roster spot, the Dolphins re-signed cornerback Jalil Brown, who spent the offseason with Miami.
According to ESPN’s James Walker, Davis suffered an ACL tear in Miami’s win vs. Buffalo on Thursday. A third-round pick of the Dolphins in 2013, the 24-year-old Davis has played in every game this season as a reserve, notching 17 tackles.
Brown (6-1, 207) was on the Colts’ active roster for a pair of games in 2014. He has played in 36 regular season games since entering the NFL as a fourth-round pick of the Chiefs in 2011, with the bulk of his experience with Kansas City.
