The Eagles cut tight end Martin Rucker early Monday morning, replacing him with another tight end -- Nate Lawrie.
Rucker, a fourth round pick of the Browns in 2008, spent last season on the Eagles practice squad.
The team was reportedly “high” on him this offseason because of his receiving skills, but they clearly didn’t stay high on him for too long. Lawrie is a UFL grad, having recently played with the Sacramento Lions.
