The Falcons may owe the Jaguars a thank-you note.
Center Alex Mack has voided the remainder of a contract crafted by the Jaguars as an offer sheet two years ago and matched by the Browns, making Mack a free agent at 4:00 p.m. ET. And Cleveland’s loss could be Atlanta’s gain.
PFT has confirmed that Mack and the Falcons are “very close” to a deal.
Mack would step back into the middle of the Kyle Shanahan offense. The duo worked together for one year in Cleveland, when Shanahan served as offensive coordinator there in 2014.
