We’re so focused on who didn’t make NFL rosters today that it’s easy to forget about the guys who narrowly avoided getting cut.
So we send out our congratulations to Eric Weems, Marty Booker, and Brian Finneran, who all made the Atlanta Falcons at wide receiver.
Booker was out of the league until August, but should get to extend his eleven year career. Many observers thought Finneran was donzo, but we’ve thought that before about him and he endures. Weems is an undersized undrafted free agent from Bethune Cookman entering his second season, and made an impression on returns.
Now these three will try to pull off another upset and prove the Falcons have a capably deep wide receiver crew.
