FORMER FALCON SHANE DRONETT FOUND DEAD AT 38

Ten years ago, Shane Dronett, 38, was preparing to join his Falcons teammates for the first Super Bowl in franchise history. Earlier today, Dronett was found dead in his Atlanta-area home. “The investigation is still ongoing relating to the cause and manner of death,” Gwinnett County Chief Forensic Investigator Ted Bailey told KDFM-TV. Dronett is survived by his wife and two children. Said Falcons owner Arthur Blank: “The entire Atlanta Falcons family is saddened by the news of Shane Dronett’s passing. Our deepest condolences are with his family during this difficult time.”
