Foxworth says his knee still bothers him

Ravens cornerback Domonique Foxworth tore an ACL early in training camp, 2010. Well over a year later, it’s still bothering him.

“It hurts,” Foxworth said, per Aaron Wilson of the Carroll County Times. “It sucks. I had a lot of pain during camp. It’s still hurting. This is where we are.”

On Monday, coach John Harbaugh said Foxworth is playing “very, very conservatively.” Foxworth agreed that he is being cautious.

“When I’m out there I want to make plays, but when you’re out there in pain, you’re kind of trying not to ‘F’ things up,” Foxworth said. “You end up playing conservatively because you don’t want to let people down and you’re still letting people down. So, it feels like you’re in a lose-lose sometimes. You stay confident and keep fighting and do whatever’s asked of me.”

Harbaugh said that Foxworth could be rested. It’s a tactful way of saying that he could be benched.

That said, Foxworth’s knee may respond a lot better this weekend, given that the Rams don’t have a guy like Kenny Britt on their roster.
