Says Bills QB Trent Edwards, “I’m happy and excited that I’m out there with my teammates and not on the couch at my house.” Bears DT Tommie Harris isn’t the player he used to be, at least according to Warren Sapp. Matt Millen’s final first-round pick running the Lions’ draft room is looking like a bust. Packers rookie WR Jordy Nelson is showing improvement. Vikings DE Jared Allen says he can sympathize with Chiefs TE Tony Gonzalez Ravens WR Derrick Mason says the passing game will get better. Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer said the defense is still “a long way from where we want to be.” Browns RT Kevin Shaffer isn’t sure what his playing status is for Sunday. The radio voice of the Cardinals thinks QB Kurt Warner will play two or three more years.
