Gary Kubiak: There is no division in locker room

The Broncos locker room wasn’t a particularly happy place on Sunday after left tackle Russell Okung took coach Gary Kubiak up on an offer to address the team and cornerback Aqib Talib objected, touching off a shouting match that Kubiak had to settle down.

One player told Michael Silver of NFL Media that it was “your classic offense vs. defense divide” after a 16-3 loss to the Patriots that saw the Denver offense fail to record a first down on their first five drives of the second half. Kubiak did his best to downplay the notion of a divide on Monday.

“It’s OK to be upset. There is pain in what we do. ... There is no division,” Kubiak said, via Lindsay Jones of USA Today. “It was not a big deal. It was frustration, we just lost a big game.”

Divided or not, the Broncos are destined for a fall if their offense continues sputtering the way it has in recent weeks. They’ve scored 13 points while losing their last two games, leaving them in need of wins and help if they’re going to make it back to the postseason.
